RECRUITMENT

Warring Kingdoms is a mostly private SL. This means we will not be sitting in public chatrooms 24/7, but we are on daily and playing in non-public mediums. We have a stable core of players who are active, friendly, and creative. We are not looking to "compete" with other storylines because we believe that every group offers something uniquely its own, but we are looking for a certain degree of consistency to keep the story moving at a reasonable pace.
This SL is not meant to be a fulltime commitment. What we strive for is longevity, meaning a story that keeps on moving long after the TV show hype has gone. We do chatroom play (mostly private, though we will open public rooms from time to time), IM RP, and forum play. Because of real life obligations (family, work, other interests and activities) we cannot be expected, nor we do expect you or anyone else, to roleplay on a daily basis. However, we do expect the story to move.
What you can expect to find here:
1) Group play at least twice a week, sometimes more. The players and regions vary. (Logs of personal scenes or one-on-one play are also updated regularly.)
2) An active forum, sometimes 2-3 new posts/logs a day. Not everyone has the time/lifestyle to sit in a chatroom or IM for hours every single day. For those of you who fit into this category, we want you to know that forum play is viable here.
3) A stable group of players who are experienced, friendly, and consistently active.
4) A longterm place to grow your characters and expand on your stories.
5) A moving story that takes place in Westeros and Essos.
Many of us are adults with responsibilities, but still want a way to be able to write and develop our stories in an interactive/group environment. To keep the group/story functioning, this is what we are looking for.
What we are looking for:
1) People who are friendly and non-dramatic, imaginative, and consistent.
2) We ask for at least two RP logs or moderate length forum posts a week. More would be great, but we feel two is acceptable.
3) People who are flexible. Those who only want to play one character are fine but may find it difficult to keep themselves involved. 3-5 characters spread out in different regions is a good number. More is always welcome as well.
4) People who have some knowledge/understanding of Game of Thrones as a subject matter. We can help those who are new to the genre as long as they are genuinely interested and want to write.
5) People who actually enjoy writing/RPing as a hobby.
For those wondering why we are a private group: This group is managed by two people, and we have roughly thirteen members altogether. This might sound like a lot, but we are people with families, jobs, and other important hobbies and activities. Many of us are in different time zones and parts of the world, or have jobs that aren't the coveted 9-5. People are more than welcome to join and invite their friends, but recruiting daily is a time commitment in its own, and we feel this time is better spent on the story. With that said, we will open up public rooms a few times a week for a couple of hours each time, to see if we find other likeminded players. The more the merrier, but quality is more important than quantity.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. If you have any questions, please feel free to IM or e-mail either of the mods. If you are interested in applying, please read the rules and then apply here.
